Booking
Tickets went on general sale at 10am on Thursday 17 September, after BFI Patrons on 9 September and BFI Members on 10 September. Online is the best way; you have to be logged in to see prices. The box office also sells by phone on 020 7928 3232 and in person at BFI Southbank. Access bookings go through a dedicated line on 020 7960 2102.
Standby
Every London venue runs a standby queue. At BFI Southbank and the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall, join it 30 minutes before the screening — returns are released 15 minutes before. At the other London venues, try the queue 15 minutes before the start.
Day releases
Newly released tickets appear on the LFF homepage after 10am each day of the festival, so a screening marked sold out here is worth re-checking on the morning.
Prices
From £10 across all London screenings, or £6 with a free BFI 25 and Under account. Weekday matinees before 5pm are £13 and evenings £18 at BFI Southbank, BFI IMAX, Curzon Soho, the ICA, the Prince Charles and Vue West End. Galas at the Royal Festival Hall are £21 to £30, and the Opening and Closing Night premieres £40. Screen Talks are £21.
LFF for Free
The free events open for booking at 10am on Thursday 1 October, two tickets per person. A ticket does not guarantee entry — admission is first come, first served.
Exchanges
There are none, and no refunds either, for any customer. Resale above 20% over face value can get the original booking cancelled.
